The Enterprise Data Product Team is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst Manager to join the Enterprise Data Team. In this role, the Technical Analyst will engage with business stakeholders to develop business requirements documents. They will support data lineage analysis and discovery, conduct interviews with data domain subject matter experts and owners, and deliver source-to-target mapping along with business glossary artifacts. Additionally, the Technical Analyst will effectively communicate these findings to business partners and technology delivery teams. This position requires proficiency in SQL to analyze, profile, and extract data samples from various data sources and environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead working sessions with business and technology partners to review, analyze, and identify data requirements and produce business requirements documents as part of multiple business initiatives
- Conduct data analysis for the discovery of useful information that informs conclusions to support decision-making
- Research legacy ETL code to understand implemented transformation rules
- Deliver required artifacts such as source-to-target mappings that provide lineage, business glossary, data catalog, sample data, transformation rules, and other relevant information needed from which the technology development teams will be able to generate their technical requirements documents and initiate their development cycles
- Perform detailed and end-to-end data lineage analysis to be able to speak to where a data entity comes from, how it is transformed, and where it lands and persists
- Create test cases and validate the requirements
- Provide estimates for the level of effort and delivery timelines to support project management
- Participate and contribute to team initiatives and projects to build and support a mature business process for architecture and data modeling, governance, and controls
- Create presentations and coordinate meetings to effectively communicate results with leadership, technology delivery teams, and other stakeholders
Qualifications Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
- Excellent skills in teamwork, writing, communication, presentation, and time management to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
- 4+ years of experience with both structured (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake) and non-structured data sources
- 4+years using SQL language in the context of analyzing, sampling, and generating sample data sets
- Experience using cloud technologies like AWS and Snowflake
- Experience using Informatica PowerCenter
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, analytical, and creative skills
- Excellent skills in teamwork, writing, communication, presentation, and time management to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
Preferred:
- Experience working with different data architectures, including relational and dimensional models
- Experience with operational data stores and data warehousing environments
- Experience with Master Data, Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Catalog business process and tools
- Experience working with Telecommunications industry domain data
USD 119,600.00 - 199,400.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $119,600.00 - $199,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
