THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Team Leader to join our FSI team in Melbourne.
Federal Self Insurance is an arm of EML that caters to employer’s who are self-insured for their workers compensation requirements and have partnered with EML to administer their claims management function.
The purpose of this role is to pro-actively and effectively manage a caseload of claims within the legislation and achieve compliance with Performance Measures. The position also involves leading and supervising the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a high performing and customer-responsive team.
This will be a Permanent Full-Time position based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the management of workers compensation claims in a fast-paced environment.
- Pro-actively supervise, develop and support team members ensuring team and organisational objectives are met
- Provide technical guidance in relation to the strategic management of workers compensation insurance claims to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervise the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a team of case managers.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in a Team Leader role or equivalent within the Workers Compensation scheme, Comcare or the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act.
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of workers compensation claims
- Strong understanding of the contractual requirements and performance measures for self-insurance
- Leadership skills, including team building, coaching, performance management and change management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment.
