Job Description Summary:
This position assists in the daily and ongoing operation, including oversight of processes related to: smooth flow of patients and most efficient use of high tech ultrasound resources; implement a continuous quality control/improvement program to enhance utilization of these resources; establish an ongoing orientation, training, and continuing education program for Ultrasonographers; and assists in management of inventory control. Independently performs requested ultrasound examinations searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patients' symptoms, medical history and/or results from previous testing. Reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the Radiologists

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography program; current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent Certification . Must have passed the physics and at least one other specialty of the ARDMS or equivalent registry. Should have competent computer skills with a good understanding of the Electronic Medical Record Systems and other pertinent applications, and intradepartmental processes. BLS certified. At least two years of previous Ultrasound Experience .
