About the Role

The Team Leader Software Engineering role blends leadership responsibilities with senior software development tasks. While prior leadership experience is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. This position offers a pathway for career growth, with the potential to advance to a Manager Software Engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team of software development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

• Cultivate a positive and high-performance company culture that fosters innovation and collaboration.

• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth.

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, maintainable, and efficient software products and systems.

• Enhance, upgrade, and optimize existing software solutions for continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the uphold of high software quality through exhaustive requirements gathering, testing, and collaborative code reviews.

Experience and Skills Required

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Front End and/or Back End developer

• Previous experience in a leadership role is a plus, but not mandatory

• Hands on experience with either or both groups of software development technologies:

• Back End: Java/JEE and the Spring Ecosystem

• Front End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React/Angular

• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design and Design patterns

• Ability to leverage modern software architecture, design patterns, and solutions

• Knowledge and experience with relational databases, ORMs

• Excellent understanding of the CI/CD methodology

• Experience with Jenkins and Git

• Good command of the English language

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
