Job Description
As a valued member of our engineering team, you will be based in our Malaysia office, leading a team of dedicated engineers in providing engineering design and calculation support to large-scale and/or infrastructure projects across the Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific (MEAAP) regions.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering EAP, this role requires an enthusiastic individual well-versed in the formwork and scaffolding industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead a team, independently manage formwork design planning, and provide valuable support to the sales team during proposal and pitching. Your extensive experience in formwork design, particularly in large scale and/or infrastructure projects, will be a key asset in ensuring success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the engineering team for multiple large-scale and/or infrastructure projects
- Motivating the team and implementing economical and practical formwork solutions to meet team and company objectives
- Conducting advanced static calculations
- Producing and/or approving material lists, offers, and/or shop drawings
- Supervising project deadlines and/or milestones
- Assisting the sales team in MEAAP countries with client presentations or project site support
- Advising formwork instructors with regard to technical problems/issues that arise on site
- Providing strong leadership and actively promoting engineering trainings and development for engineering staff
- Coordinating the availability of engineering staff with the Head of Engineering EAP
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, programs, compliance, and standards of performance
- Monitoring adherence to contractual guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum of ten years of experience in formwork, particularly with international formwork systems
- Professional experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, and familiarity with Doka formwork systems is highly advantageous
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Inventor, Estab) and project management tools
- Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency in the formwork industry, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region
- Effective communicator, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented work approach
- Willingness to travel and be mobile
