Job Description:
What You'll Do
The Team Lead role provides day to day leadership, guidance, and expertise to a group of coordinators and specialists on the People Accommodation and Leave Support (PALs) team. Responsible for the management of the Leave of Absence (LOA) and/or Accommodation processes. Provides information, interpretation, guidance and consultation on escalations that may arise as a result of a LOAs or Accommodations. Collects, organizes, interprets, and verifies internal customer needs and translates them into business policies, procedures and practices. Responsible for vendor oversight on all cases to ensure program compliance with state and federal regulations as well as company policies. Enhances the overall Leave of Absence and/or Accommodations customer experience by providing excellent, efficient, and courteous service. Manages day to day vendor activities including data governance and quality initiatives. This role focuses on either LOA or Accommodations and is pivotal in maintaining high service standards, compliance and a supportive employee experience. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.
How You'll Do It
- Coaches and supervises a team. Ensures work is completed within processing deadlines. Provides statistical and performance feedback. Administers performance reviews for team members. Handles escalated cases within the organization and Human Resources.
- Handles employee and management questions. Serve as a primary point of escalation for complex leave and/or Accommodation cases, providing expertise on policies, exceptions, and accommodation integration when necessary. Interprets and administers contracts. Resolves work related issues. Provides group and individual coaching and training with managers and employees.
- Keep up to date on leave & accommodation related laws like FMLA, ADA, and state specific regulations.
- Ensures data quality is maintained through processes and audits. Evaluates processes and procedures. Provides recommendations to improve operations, efficiency, and services to internal customers.
- Partners with vendors and Human Resources teams to improve operations. Drives informed decision making through the use of data. Identifies trends, determine root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 6+ years HR Shared Services, HR Operations, Customer Service or Consulting
- 2+ years experience with Leave of Absence or Accommodations

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $77,500.00 to $131,500.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
