The role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Consulting (NA). We expect you to:

You will be leading a team of Implementation Consultants. As Team Lead in this Organization, we expect you to:

Important: This is a hybrid role. Core in-office days in our Minneapolis-Saint Paul co-working space are Tuesdays-Thursdays, and it is expected that folks will be in the office a minimum of 1-2 day(s) per week during core days. As our Minneapolis-Saint Paul location continues to grow, in office attendance will increase to a minimum of twice weekly during core office days. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and develop the Implementation Consulting team in the NA region, providing strategic guidance and expert support to ensure successful client onboarding experiences that align with business goals and customer outcomes.
  • Drive the execution of the global onboarding strategy with a consulting mindset, continuously identifying opportunities to enhance both the customer and internal team experience through effective communication and process improvement.
  • Lead the completion of initiatives and OKRs for global Staffbase Consulting (SBC), ensuring that customer needs and industry-specific outcomes are prioritized.
  • Collaborate closely with CSM, Sales, and Internal Communications departmental leads to establish team goals, ensuring that the client journey—from pre-sales to onboarding—delivers maximum value through integrated, cross-functional efforts.
  • Oversee the management and delivery of complex onboarding projects for new clients, ensuring that regional and global cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Technical Consulting, and Customer Support, are aligned to meet internal communication and customer expectations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to support pre-sales engagements, offering expert insights on communication needs and ensuring a seamless transition from Sales to Implementation Consulting with a focus on optimizing customer outcomes.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps within the team and across functions, particularly related to internal communication best practices, ensuring consistent onboarding excellence.
  • Oversee all implementation projects managed by the NA team, handling escalations and ensuring that project outcomes meet both client and internal communication objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on team performance, consulting project metrics, and KPIs using internal tools, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment with customer success and communication goals.
  • Conduct growth talks, manage hiring processes, and oversee performance management to build a consulting-focused team that understands both technical onboarding and customer communication strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with our Senior Manager, Consulting (NA), to ensure effective people leadership, consulting expertise, and team development.

What you need to be successful

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams through a consulting approach that emphasizes internal communications and customer-focused strategies.
  • Proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, particularly in environments focused on internal communications, to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Familiarity with consulting and communication best practices, using internal reporting tools to track and enhance project and team performance.
  • Results-driven with a consultative mindset, continuously challenging the status quo to deliver optimal client success and communication outcomes.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments, leveraging consulting skills to guide teams and clients through change management and communication challenges.
  • An innovative mindset with a passion for continuous learning, particularly in the areas of internal communication and customer success, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage complex projects with a focus on customer outcomes and internal communications strategy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and facilitate effective collaboration in consulting and internal communication contexts.
