WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Financial Planning & Analysis:
-
Drive the end to end financial process, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and variance analysis. Ensure that we set targets in line with Zalando strategy and our long term financial ambitions.

Monitor and steer our Payment revenues and costs in line with our long term ambition, collaborating with the product and operational teams on delivering on our plans.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial expertise and articulating risk and opportunities.
Process and tool optimization:

Identify operational risks and opportunities, systematically striving to reduce complexity and increase efficiency

Collaborate with BI and data science teams to deliver state of the art financial tools while staying compliant with the regulations in place.
Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, coach, and manage a team of Finance managers, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Align team priorities with strategic goals from the business unit and Zalando in general.

Motivate the team through change management.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
-
Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
-
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Finance, including in Controlling; ideally in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.

Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and developing teams in fast changing environments.

Excellent analytical skills, proven strategic thinking and a strong ownership mindset.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with financial, commercial and technology teams.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools; knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Fluency in English. German language skill is a big plus.
