This position provides accounting support across DEME business entities in France, reporting to the Finance Manager France.Your responsibilities
- Reporting towards the Finance manager France
- Review and guide a team of accountants to ensure accurate accounting information
- Is responsible for the correct processing and booking of general journals, VAT, social, fiscal, debt, loans
- Assist with Tax and VAT compliance for various DEME entities in France
- Assists in activities to maintain the organization’s general ledgers and financial records
- Is responsible for timely quarterly and annual closing activities
- Reviews quarter-end journal entries
- Assist for the quarterly reporting packs
- Prepare the financial statements and attends to audit related matters during the statutory audit process, in relation with the Finance manager France
- Works with the Finance Manager to ensure a smooth and timely year-end audit

Your profile
- Passion for finance/accounting
- Master’s degree with accounting major or related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an accounting/audit firm
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Sound knowledge and application of general and analytical accounting principles
- Proven knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered an asset
- You can express yourself in English and French. The knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Dynamic with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver added value
- A strategic person with very good analytical skills coupled with attention to detail
- Modest and professional attitude, acting with integrity
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of an international account software or ERP system, e.g. Microsoft D365, is a plus
