To represent Ribbon as a Migration Engineer responsible for the development and implementation of migration strategies and plans used to support migration services as per Ribbon’s commitment to meet or surpass Customer expectations. This role fulfils services sold and include Migration planning, Subscriber Data Migration and Cutover Specialist services
The primary responsibilities are as follows:

Define migration strategy and develop detailed Cutover Plan to migrate from current to target architecture (lines, peripherals, data fill, etc.)

Collect and interpret other vendors switch data. Mapping other vendor data to Ribbon C20 based format

Analyze/address network issues including unsupported lines, LNP, 911, voicemail, customer groups, etc.

Define scope, sizing, and cutover order of all migration phases for each end customer

Design and document migration Plan

Develop step-by-step Cutover MOP (and back out procedure) for execution during night-of-cut
-
Document all migration sites, phases, activities, schedules, roles/responsibilities

Collect and analyze subscriber line and feature data from Donor switch
-
Convert and load subscriber data from Donor switch into required structure and format on Target switch
-
Capture Recent Changes (moves/adds/deletes) made to Donor switch during conversion phase and perform data bash to update Target switch
-
Complete subscriber programmable updates on night-of-cut
Travel
-
Occasional Travel may be required
-
Will be required to work off normal business hours or extended shifts in support of Migrations up to 25%
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Self-motivated individuals able to learn quickly.

Must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be driven to achieve results while maintaining deadlines.
