Responsible for the tax payables function which includes remitting timely payments to state departments and reconciliation of accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Coordinate timely reports, filings and payments to state departments based on state specific requirements.
2. Monitor states regularly for changes or updates of rates or filing procedures.
3. Address discrepancies and missing documentation with individual(s) responsible for billing utilizing Track-it system.
4. Review all system invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment due date.
5. Complete aging and exception reporting communicating in a timely manner to ensure any outstanding items are completed prior to assigned deadline.
6. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
7. Complies with all policies, procedures, systems, state, insurance company and department of insurance regulations.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. High School diploma
2. Six months of related experience
3. Strong verbal and written communications skills
4. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
5. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, details, and interruptions
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft office software
7. Ability to operate a computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner and other office equipment
8. Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
9. Strong customer service skills and the ability to take instruction well
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Some college with concentration in accounting
