JOB SUMMARY:
Perform processes in connection with the preparation and/or review of the tax aspect of the company in a timely and accurate manner, as well as those reports requested by the authorities and/or internal auditors as part of compliance with tax laws.
Provides financial leadership to the organization and ensures compliance with corporate requirements and Mexican regulations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Contributes to the monthly and annual accounting close.
- Responsible for internal controls and reporting to Corporate.
- Complies with internal and external audit procedures and policies.
- Develops, maintains, executes, and oversees procedures and work processes related to his responsibilities, including Sarbanes & Oxley internal controls.
- Prepares work papers for subsequent review by tax examiners of interim and annual tax payments in a timely manner.
- Maintains and carries out the reports requested by the different governmental agencies, to follow up on the terms established by law and in accordance with the company's policies.
- Prepares tax provisions.
- Provides work paper for tax calculation.
- Elaboration and follow-up of the detail for VAT claim process.
- Control of favorable VAT balances, manage their recovery.
- Audit of invoices and payment complements in advance tax payments process.
- Presentation of Federal tax payments.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly informative declarations (DIOT, informative reports, INEGI, Economic reporting, etc.).
- Preparation of reports for INEGI, Economy, SAT, State Government.
- Prepare monthly tax accruals, as well as the respective JE’s.
- Provides quarterly and yearly payroll information to support forecast and budget processing.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly explanations for MFR variances related to accounts assigned.
- Accounting record of tax payments and the respective monthly adjustment of provisions
- Maintain close relationship with the accounts payable and payroll area.
- Analysis of its accounting tax accounts.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree in Finance and/ or Accounting
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in similar position and/or Mexican accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting firm in tax area (Big four).
KNOWLEDGE:
- Intermediate English

- Strong communications skills across departmental areas.
- Self-oriented/self-directed person.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- JDEdwards knowledge/skills is a plus.
- Up to date in tax regulations and laws.
