Tax & Compliance Manager at a glance
The Payroll Tax & Compliance Leader will work closely with internal stakeholders such as HR, Tax, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment tax regulations. This role requires the incumbent to stay up to date on changes in employment tax regulations and advise the business on tax planning opportunities. This role will partner with the Head of HTR NA to create the strategic vision to oversee and manage all employment tax & compliance matters across the Kraft Heinz North America Region (U.S and Canada). This position will assist stakeholders in all merger, divestitures and acquisition activities.

Stakeholder Management
- Implements and maintains controls and deadlines to ensure proper and timely payment for all federal, state and local tax payments. Assist with review in collaboration with Finance for tax payments, returns, reconciliations, and reporting, etc., to ensure they are accurate and timely.
- Lead efforts for the registration of new State/SUI/Local payroll tax as needed.
Management Responsibilities
- Develop and implement best practices for employment tax compliance across US and Canada
- Trains employees who are involved in payroll processing on tax regulations and best practices.
Year End
- Oversees and ensures compliance in payroll tax and regulatory reporting, and year end payroll tax reporting.
- Develop the strategy to complete year-end tax reporting & filing process
Employee Engagement
- Review W4's and T4's with Sr. Leaders to explain withholding amounts.
- Ensure high quality and accuracy of service delivery through ticketing tool Service Now for all payroll tax, HR compliance and privacy related employee questions.

- I have experience in employment tax compliance, with a focus U.S. and Canada preferred
- I have significant prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in understanding employment tax processes, regulatory compliance and/or Operations/Service-oriented environment.
- I have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data
- I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- I have strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment tax regulations
- I have passion for continuous process improvement and simplification

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$99,100.00 - $123,900.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
