Job Description:
Tax Analyst
Job Summary:
The Tax Analyst will report directly to the Senior Tax Analyst based in Hyderabad.
This role will serve as an extension of the U.S. tax department, primarily responsible for North America indirect tax compliance. Knowledge of U.S. indirect tax concepts is a requirement. This role will also support various global tax accounting and compliance processes as a secondary responsibility, offering an opportunity to develop basic global income tax knowledge. Daily tasks will require regular teaming with tax personnel and other Corporate Finance team members based in the United States and Hyderabad including A/P, Billing, Procurement, etc.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Indirect Tax – North America
- Prepare Monthly/quarterly/annual compliance packages
- Monthly account reconciliations
- U.S Sales & Use Tax online filings
- Canadian GST/HST/QST reconciliations
- Accounts Payable Tax Payment EFT support
- Support maintenance of Material Master for high volume of service offerings
- Assist with periodic nexus reviews/research
- Prepare Monthly/quarterly/annual compliance packages
- US Income tax
- Support cash tax tracking and reporting procedures
- Support federal and state compliance and provision processes
- Running reports, refining data, preparing calculations, etc.
- International Income Tax
- Support tracking of global compliance filings and related data
- Assist with prep of foreign tax provision packages
- Identify and implement systems/process improvement
Education / Work Experience Requirements:
- Public accounting and/or Industry experience
- Master of Accountancy or MBA preferred
