Task Order Project Manager

Horizon is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area and we are currently seeking a Task Order Project Manager for a full-time position remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Program Overview:
The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support is provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance, and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance, and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the program also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office. The program provides support technology services across the DLA Information Operations Enterprise, the DLA Program Executive Offices (PEO), and all other technological services currently supported through DLA Contracting Services Office (DCSO) acquisitions.
Summary of requirements:
- At least 5 years relevant IT Project Management experience
- PMP Certification
- IT II NACLC
- 100% Remote
Position Description:
The Task Order Project Manager that will:
- Serve as the manager for a mid-sized, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same system)
- Assist the Program Manager achieve task order performance goals by working with the DLA PMO, the Contracting Officer’s Representatives (COR’s), and the task order’s several Team Leads.
- Under the guidance of the Program Manager:
- Provide overall management and administration of the specific task order(s)
- Ensure that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner
- Occasionally, short duration (1-3 days) site visits to DLA or contractor facilities may be required.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Five (5) years relevant PM experience
- 10+ years’ experience preferred
- Experience managing several, geographically dispersed, multi-functional IT teams (20+ FTE).
- Experience tracking project status with ServiceNow and JIRA
- Experience coordinating team/customer collaboration using MS TEAMS and SharePoint
- Experience in an Agile environment and leading Agile Sprints
- Project/Program leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management
- Experience with personnel actions including recruitment, retention and evaluations
- Familiarity with DLA Information Operations
- Working knowledge with IT functions, including database admin, data warehouses, system/network admin, application development lifecycle, DevOps, RMF and Cybersecurity, Azure cloud and QA/QC.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other recognized DoD Project Management certification.
- Must possess active IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
Education: BS or BA or five (5) additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Location: 100% Remote, with a preference candidates in the northern Virginia area
