As a key leader on the Talent Readiness team, you will 1) have overall management of the enterprise succession and talent planning processes to identify, assess and deploy a diverse leadership pipeline required to deliver the enterprise strategy, 2) manage Cigna's enterprise assessment strategy and suite of solutions, and 3) ensure pull through into succession and development planning and other talent practices.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advance talent planning practices through greater focus on insights, technology and accountability to optimize talent decisions and accelerate leader readiness.
  • Manage Cigna's enterprise assessment strategy, suite of solutions and associated vendor management; enable strategy and infrastructure to digitize assessment insights and leverage broader and deeper for talent review and decisions.
  • Enable enterprise and executive talent review processes to ensure a diverse leadership pipeline.
  • Champion action and drive accountability to outcomes of talent review.
  • Manage processes and governance surrounding key talent segments including associated development and experience mapping.
  • Oversee personalized development of enterprise talent; interact directly with HR Officers (HROs) and leadership on development plan creation, targeted actions, and measurement strategy.
  • Maintain strong internal relationships with leadership pipeline talent and be seen as a resource for their development.
  • Embed Talent Readiness frameworks (e.g., Success Profile, experience framework, leadership competencies) into leadership pipeline talent practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters or advanced degree preferred.
  • Expertise/certification in assessments and executive coaching preferred. 
  • 10+ years of overall HR experience in roles of progressively increasing in scope and responsibility; assessments, talent planning, and HR Business Partner experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of talent assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in succession planning and leadership development.
  • Significant and demonstrated ability to strategically align progressive talent strategies to business goals and objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment. Exceptional work ethic.
  • Experience leading teams while partnering closely with HR/business leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence at the senior leadership level.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and talent management software.
  • Limited travel
