Overview:
Assists in the execution of recruiting strategies, talent attraction, and employment branding techniques to bring awareness to the company’s unique, inspiring, and innovative culture. Eager to learn and innovate. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to project and talent acquisition solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in recruiting efforts for assigned sector and/or region alongside managing talent team member
- Coordinates and schedules entry-level candidate phone screens and interviews, and compiles feedback for managing talent team member
- Corresponds with Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations to execute HKS job postings at the direction of managing talent team member
- Attends and documents meetings with sector and practice leaders and hiring managers to discuss current and future needs and search progress
- Recruits a variety of entry-level professionals utilizing the existing CRM software, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), social media, cold calling, search techniques, professional networking, and relationship-building
- Works alongside managing talent team member to source passive candidates for pipeline building in collaboration with hiring team
- May coordinate scheduling with external agencies and resources on critical searches in collaboration with managing talent team member
- Inquires about current salary expectations for entry-level candidates and communicates candidate expectations to TA Operations
- Promotes and communicates employment branding initiatives internally and on relevant social media channels
- Collaborates with talent team in maintaining ATS, reviewing resumes, and properly dispositioning candidates
- Maintains connections with passive entry-level candidates
- Participates various strategic initiatives and projects, as needed
- Attends Quarterly Hiring Summits and participates in weekly team meetings
- Assists in attracting and retaining talent, both candidates & internal talent, leveraging HKS and industry best practices
Talent Acquisition Team Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team to build relationships with managers and leaders throughout the firm to partner and develop trusting relationships, offering sound guidance and advisement
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team to search for, evaluate and identify best in class talent; advises hiring managers on best in class recruiting practices, building a culture of mutual investment
- Focuses on attracting and retaining talent, both candidates & internal talent, leveraging best practices
- Collaborates on J.E.D.I. (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) goals and objectives to encourage diverse thinking and diverse candidates
- Proactively creates a positive and informed candidate and onboarding experience, such as sharing firm culture and strategic values
- Contributes to planning and execution of employment branding initiatives relative to social media presence, campaigns, advertisements and job boards
- Collaborates in implementing talent acquisition projects, programs, and metrics
- Collaborates to ensure TA practices promote compliance with policies and laws
- Stays current with overall TA trends and best practices and provides proactive strategic guidance
- Collaborates on team meetings and shares information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant degree
- Typically, with 3+ years of experience
- Experience in MS Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of hiring best practices, policies, procedures and employment law
- Experience in executive search firm, in-house recruiting, and Human Resources preferred
- Experience in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems preferred
- Recruiting software experience: Workday, Gem, and/or LinkedIn Recruiter preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
- Travel may be required
