Job Description:
Title: Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist
Location: Vancouver (hybrid 2 – 3 days per week in-office)
Job Type: 15-18 months contract (Maternity leave coverage)
Reporting To: Head of People and Culture
We're seeking a Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to lead the full recruitment lifecycle and contribute to key HR initiatives. In this role, you'll attract and hire top talent, manage seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences, and support the Head of People and Culture in fostering employee engagement. Our team is spread across Canada, the USA, Europe, and India, making this a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse and global workforce.
You'll be based in our bright and modern office in Coal Harbour, just 15 minutes from Burrard Skytrain. This hybrid role requires 2 to 3 days in the office, working alongside the Head of People and Culture. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (70%)
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process for all open positions, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Develop and execute effective talent attraction strategies to build a strong candidate pipeline.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, create job descriptions, and source candidates.
- Utilize job boards, social media, and networking to identify and source top talent.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Prepare and extend job offers, negotiate terms with candidates, and manage offer letters.
- Maintain a talent pool for future hiring needs and proactively build relationships with potential candidates.
HR Support (30%)
- Lead the onboarding process to ensure new hires feel welcomed and set up for success.
- Conduct orientation sessions and coordinate onboarding documentation.
- Collaborate with teams, managers, and the Head of People and Culture to enhance the new hire experience.
- Assist in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies, and employee and labour laws in Canada, USA, Europe and India
- Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement and retention.
- Help Head of People and Culture to organize team-building activities, holiday celebrations, and employee appreciation events.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in talent acquisition or a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and HR processes, including interviewing techniques and
- Experience with ATS platforms (Greenhouse preferred), LinkedIn sourcing strategies and HRIS management (BambooHR preferred).
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage projects, timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to work in a hybrid workforce environment.
- Knowledge of USA, Europe or India employment laws is an asset.
- Experience providing HR support or Talent Acquisition to a global team is an asset.
