How You Will Contribute:
As a Systems Integration Specialist (New Grad), you will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of new technologies and features into our products. You will work within the Systems Architecture team to develop and execute systems verification plans.

Be responsible for verifying that our products meet their system-level requirements.

Be responsible for working alongside Systems Architects to demonstrate proof-of-concept for new product features

You will have a particular focus on coherent optical interfaces and their integration into our products

Help drive investigations to root cause and ensure issues are brought to resolution, both during new product introduction and over the lifespan of the product

You will participate in the definition of system-level product requirements

A significant portion of your time will be spent testing systems in a lab environment
The Must Haves:

Strong communication skills

Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related program

Experience working in a lab environment, and setting up and using test equipment

Experience using Python
The Assets:

Basic understanding of photonic networks and optical impairments

The ability to effectively identify and solve problems
Pay Range:
The annual pay range for this position is $57,100 - $91,100
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
