Salesforce Inc. seeks Systems Engineering Engineer in Burlington, MA:

Job Duties: Responsible for the oversight, enhancement and management of Salesforce's production environments, and ensuring 24/7 system availability. Leading projects that aim to standardize and automate processes for greater efficiency. Serves as a key member of the team dedicated to solving difficult challenges and providing high-level support at Salesforce. Recommend and implement changes to the production environment that improve the stability, performance and security of a large scale Linux computing platform. Excellent technical and people skills are an absolute necessity. Participate in Project Planning, Design, and Delivery process. Proactively maintain system availability, reliability, and performance. Drive efficiency through standardization, automation, documentation, and cross-training. Provide technical leadership by recommending technology improvements and adoption of best practices. Possess strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences. And maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality services which exemplify our company's #1 value of 'Trust' (i.e. security, availability, performance, and scale). Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Prometheus and Grafana; (2) Docker; (3) CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Github actions; (4) Containers, Kubernetes, and AWS; (5) GIT; (6) Python; (7) Service Mesh such as Istio; (8) IaaC, Terraform, Helm & CloudFormation; (9) managing configurations with Ansibile and Puppet; (10) Linux and RHEL; (11) Networking concepts; and (12) Coding with Bash and GO. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
