OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with a strong background in business process analysis and object-oriented programming to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both software development principles and business processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and documentation. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with a team of 3rd party developers, delivering tech specs, answering questions, and providing feedback once the code has been handed over.
- Collaborate with BA’s and the Business when necessary to help define the problem statement, gather requirements and define the solution and scope of the development work.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize object-oriented programming principles to architect scalable and maintainable software systems.
- Write clean, well-documented technical specifications that adhere to established coding standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continually seeking opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem-solving and troubleshooting as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Demonstrated experience in business process analysis and optimization, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in writing detailed technical specifications and documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and API documentation.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
