Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to join our team to support various classified environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and supporting complex classified information systems, as well as ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
This role includes a combination of duties to protect information, and maintain security controls, for an entire system, site, or program to reduce risk.
- Act as a primary point of contact and support channel for user requests and issues.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations such NIST Special Publication 800-53.
- Regularly perform security patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and generation of compliance artifacts for Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
- Work independently, and with others, to effectively communicate and document issues, standards, or procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret security clearance to be considered along with eligibility to be cleared to Special Access Programs.
- DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+.
- Experience troubleshooting, patching, and maintaining operating systems and third-party environments.
- Knowledge of change management procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
- Must have experience as a system administrator of Windows-based domain environments to include management and troubleshooting of: DNS, Group Policy, File Shares, NTFS Permissions, and Active Directory.
- Experience with patch management, firewall configurations, Windows Services, disk management, encryption, and networking.
- Knowledge of the DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DCSA, etc.).
- BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience; or relevant industry-standard certifications and experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the RedHat operating system, other Linux platforms, or willing to learn.
- Experience conducting and remediation of vulnerability scans.
- Experience analyzing and implementing DISA STIG’s.
- Experience creating customized scripts using bash or PowerShell to automate tasks.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
