Job Title: System Engineer (Microsoft 365)

Job Location: Remote

Job Duration: Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements and design comprehensive implementation plans for Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Configure Intune for device compliance, security policies, and application management.
  • Deploy and manage Entra ID-joined and hybrid-joined devices.
  • Oversee the migration of up to 13 PCs from on-premises Active Directory to Microsoft Intune.
  • Configure and enforce BitLocker encryption, conditional access policies, and security baselines.

Active Directory (AD) to Entra ID Migration:

  • Assess and document existing on-premises AD environments.
  • Implement and optimize Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity management.
  • Ensure seamless device enrollment and identity synchronization.
  • Migrate user and device authentication to Entra ID.
  • Decommission legacy on-premises domain controllers post-migration.

Office 365 Setup & Migration:

  • Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations within Office 365.
  • Configure SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange email services.
  • Implement security policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and email filtering protocols.
  • Migrate users, mailboxes, and data from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
  • Set up new Microsoft 365 tenants and configure custom domains.

SCCM to Intune Migration:

  • Conduct discovery and analysis of existing SCCM environments.
  • Identify and migrate device compliance, application deployment, and security policies to Intune.
  • Implement co-management strategies to facilitate SCCM workload transitions.
  • Validate Intune policy application and enrollment processes for successful adoption.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, system administration, or infrastructure support.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Entra ID deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity management.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 migrations, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of SCCM to Intune migration strategies and co-management implementations.
  • Experience deploying conditional access policies, BitLocker encryption, and security baselines.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and remotely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications such as MCSA, MS-100, MS-101, MD-100, MD-101, or similar.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Intune Graph API, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and cloud security best practices.
