We are looking for a well experienced Linux System Administrator. You will be part of System Management Team/ IT System Operation and report directly to System Management Team Leader.

What you’ll do:

  • You will take ownership of the installation, upgrades, administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting of Linux-based operating systems, including Redhat, CentOS, and Oracle Linux.

  • You will handle tasks across both project-oriented and operational settings, ensuring smooth deployment and system operation.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.

  • You will manage and optimize storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and VMware virtualization environments.

  • You will develop and maintain automation processes using tools like Ansible, Spacewalk, Terraform, and others to streamline system operations.

  • You will assist with backup strategies, ensuring that systems are backed up efficiently and can be restored quickly when necessary.

  • You will contribute to orchestration initiatives (experience with Kubernetes is a plus) to enhance workflow automation.

*This position requires on-call availability (24x7 shifts).

Who you are:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in similar roles in Cloud and/or IT Operations and/or IT Architecture areas;

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience);

  • You have excellent knowledge with Linux in enterprise environments (Redhat, Centos, Oracle Linux), including cluster configurations and high availability;

  • You are skilled in storage management (SAN/NAS), VMware virtualization, and bash/shell scripting; Additionally;

  • You have expertise in automation tools (Ansible, Spacewalk, Terraform), monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, Dynatrace), and orchestration tools (nice to have Kubernetes);

  • You have a basic understanding of backup methodologies and a broad knowledge beyond Linux systems.;

  • You are proficient in English and Italian, both spoken and written;

  • You are excellent in problem-solving and you have decision-making skills, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, passionate about technology;

  • You know how to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders in a multi cultural international environment.

  • You demonstrate a strong aptitude for innovation and automation, continuously striving to enhance system performance and streamline processes.

Preferrably, you also have:

  • Previous experience in the cloud computing industry or any context where technology is a key factor to success (big tech companies and/or cloud providers and/or technology consulting firms involved in large cloud transition projects);

  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry will be considered as a plus;

  • Basic knowledge of project and delivery management methodologies.
