System Administrator - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (SAL) Level 4Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence seeks a highly skilled System Administrator - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (SAL) Level 4 to support mission-critical IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)-based systems in a secure, high-performance computing environment. This role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability and security of Linux-based IT systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure Linux-based operating systems and their services in order to maximize system performance and reliability.
- Provide support for the implementation and operation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux based Information Technology (IT) systems or Red Hat Derivative systems.
- Install and configure Linux-based operating systems and their services according to system requirements.
- Conduct day-to-day operations, such as account management, system health and status checks, and internal technical and security log review.
- Identify capacity, performance, and reliability issues and escalate them for resolution.
- Identify patches and configuration changes according to provided direction.
- Support the dispatching of hardware technicians and performing hardware maintenance.
- Manage the system as part of an integrated solution, assisting related administrators in troubleshooting and correcting network and storage subsystem issues.
- Communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
- US Citizen
- A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
- Nine (9) years of demonstrated IT experience in any related field.
- Five (5) years demonstrated Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration experience within the last eight (8) years.
- An active Tier II certification related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, such as the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
Salary Range
$130,000- $150,000
