We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team working with TIPS (Tieto Integrated Paper Solution), a leading manufacturing execution solution for paper mills.
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our TIPS platform through comprehensive testing strategies.
Technical skills
1. **Code**
- Basic understanding of scripts and ability to read code.
2. **Web Application Testing**
- Experience in testing web applications, including understanding of HTTP, RESTful services, and web protocols.
3. **Kubernetes Knowledge**
- Familiarity with Kubernetes to understand deployment, scaling, and management of applications in a containerized environment.
4. **Security Testing**
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
5. **Non-Functional Testing**
- Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
6. **Functional Testing**
- Proficiency in creating, executing, and maintaining functional test cases.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, SpecFlow for C#).
7. **CI/CD and DevOps Practices**
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of DevOps practices to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
8. **Cloud Services**
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) as Kubernetes often runs on cloud infrastructure.
Soft Skills
1. **Analytical Thinking**
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and drive root cause analysis.
2. **Problem-Solving**
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed system environment.
3. **Communication Skills**
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
4. **Attention to Detail**
- Keen attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance.
