Job Description
Visa operates the world's largest retail electronic payments network and is one of the most recognized global financial services brands. We offer a range of branded payment product platforms, which our financial institution clients use to develop and offer credit, charge, deferred debit, prepaid and cash access programs to cardholders. Visa's card platforms provide consumers, businesses, merchants and government entities with a secure, convenient and reliable way to pay and be paid in 200 countries and territories.
We are looking for an innovative, capable DevOps Engineer working closely with internal products’ development teams. The person will also be responsible for overseeing end-to-end scoping, implementation, and working closely with the development and Service design teams to deliver a quality product as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks.
• Provide level 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshoot issues in release builds and deployments.
• Set up and support applications on physical, virtual, and container platforms, and troubleshoot OS and release issues.
• Manage and operate release processes, builds, deployments, and DevOps tools.
• Utilize tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Maven, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, and RHEL.
• Ensure continuous availability of various applications, environments, and tools supporting SCM and release management, including source control, containerization, and continuous integration.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve developer productivity and efficiency.
• Create automation utilities to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
• Provide support for lower and stage environments and address issues in production as needed.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
•Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
• Basic working knowledge and experience with Linux OS
• Understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
• Strong technical competency and experience with programming/scripting language Java, Python, Unix Shell, Groovy.
• Understanding in CI/CD process implementation and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle, Maven, or Ant.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Code/Test coverage working in different methodologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Source Control Tools such as GIT and Bitbucket.
• Must have proactive and strong communication skills to work well across teams.
NOTE: Problem solving skills will be thoroughly tested during the interview phases. There will be an online test too.
