The SVP, Chief of Staff to CHRO acts as a strategic advisor and operational partner, primarily responsible for supporting the CHRO in executing HR initiatives, managing the HR functions’ day-to-day operations, facilitating communication across the HR team and senior leadership, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives by overseeing strategic planning, project management, and performance metrics tracking with the HR organization. The individual must be a creative problem solver with strong business acumen who is able to bounce fluidly between minute details while staying attuned to the macro vision of the firm. The SVP, Chief of Staff’s primary responsibility will be overseeing day-to-day operations to allow the CHRO to focus on strategic priorities.
This position will be based in LPL Financial’s Fort Mill, SC office.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted adviser to the CHRO and their leadership team.
- Lead CHRO-led priority projects while managing day-to-day operational issues.
- Prepare readiness materials to maximize CHROs effectiveness for every event and key meetings, particularly any board engagements.
- Act as CHRO’s extension, internally with the senior leadership team, and work collaboratively with other Chiefs of Staffs.
- Represent complex issues to various audiences and frame ideas, synthesize data and insights into executive presentations to trigger decision-making, actionable requirements, and plans.
- Create documents, frameworks, and analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to help solution critical business issues.
- Prepare executive level reports and presentations, including for the Board of Directors, and Management Committee.
- Support and drive ad-hoc special projects / analyses on behalf of the CHRO.
- Establish and maintain effective management and reporting routines that allow the CHRO to focus on top priorities and strategy.
- Work seamlessly with CHRO’s Executive Admin and the rest of the leadership team to facilitate communication, performance reviews, calendars of key events, meeting agendas and other key timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ year of experience in financial services and/or technology services industry with a strong track record in prior chief of staff role, large-scale project management, corporate strategy or related type roles.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Highly collaborative with experience in leading and influencing teams and individuals across lines of business, functional areas and different levels of an organization; courage to hold peers and others not directly in the reporting line accountable.
- MBA preferred.
- Prior consulting and/or operations expertise preferred. Prior HR experience is preferred but not required.

Pay Range:
$167,500.00 - $279,100.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
