Sustainable Procurement Intern - Summer 2025

The Role:
Our site in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a/an Sustainable Procurement Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
This position researches, identifies, and implements key sustainable procurement projects that help Entegris move towards our sustainability goals and strengthen our supply chain. Based in Hillsboro, OR, this position will work closely with site team members to learn and develop projects.
What You’ll Do:
• Learn about Entegris and manufacturing process at Hillsboro.
• Connect with teammates to understand problem statements and implement successful solutions.
--> Key project 1: Assist in developing a product end-of-use strategy for Hillsboro products and packaging, with goal of minimizing waste and implementing circularity.
• Understanding end-of-use at customers
• Identifying opportunities for circularity
• Identifying vendors and supplier ecosystem for reclaim, recycle and reverse supply chain
• Developing recommendations and implementing solutions
--> Key project 2: In partnership with EHS, update inventory of all site manufacturing waste streams
• In partnership with EHS, develop data infrastructure to track manufacturing waste
• Develop best practice for circularity and share across all sites
--> Key Project 3: Assist in development of Scope 3 data
• Characterize products and materials in order to calculate Scope 3 emissions
• Working with IT, MDM, and EHS, implement data infrastructure to support Scope 3 tracking
• Assist on other procurement projects to strengthen supply chain performance
What We Seek:
• High school diploma and pursuing higher education (preferred Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering).
