Your opportunity

Future You is our two-year early career program aimed at giving ambitious, results-focused, creative thinkers like you a chance to accelerate your development and grow into becoming a Huhtamaki leader of the future. You’ll also meet with global colleagues on the Future You program to train and work on exciting projects together.

This is your opportunity for a real learning on-the-job position in our Flexible Packaging segment that will equip you with skills to build, execute and lead sustainability initiatives in a global company setting. The program is built around 6 month rotations across our global business in  Segment Sustainability, Product Sustainability, and Group Sustainability, giving you a unique opportunity to learn about our company and develop fast in your role.

Where you’ll be

You’ll be based in our headquarters Espoo, Finland for most of the program, with one 6 month rotation to one of our production sites in Europe.
 

What you’ll be doing

• Segment Sustainability: Develop a strategic view of sustainability in the Flexible Packaging segment and contribute to sustainable solutions.

• Product Sustainability (European site): Understand how sustainability is integrated into innovation and product portfolio management.

• Group Sustainability: Design and plan a key global sustainability initiative with teams worldwide.

• Global Project Implementation: Implement a global project you helped design, creating a positive business impact.

• By the end of the program, you will be well-equipped to take on a role as a Sustainability Specialist in the Segment Sustainability team.

What you’ll bring to the role

The ideal candidates will have strong business acumen, be results-focused, and creative and motivated thinkers. You’ll have a passion for making a difference and promoting a sustainable future in a global company setting. We are looking for people who are versatile, can adapt to the situation, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

The ideal candidate will have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field: Business / Economics, Engineering, Environmental policy / management or Sustainability (You must have graduated or be due to graduate before August 2025)

• Focus during studies or other experience gained on Sustainability related topics is preferred, e.g. Social sustainability, circular economy, environmental policy and management, sustainable product design, low carbon energy solutions

• Up to 2 years' work experience (prior to or after graduation)

• International experience gained via studying or working abroad or through working in international environment

• Excellent communication and project management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout Huhtamaki

• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in other languages is an advantage

• Willingness & flexibility to travel and work abroad for up to 6 months across Europe

• Right to work in Finland
