We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Coordinator to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Director Risk and Sustainability and be a member of the Legal team.
The core responsibility of the of the Sustainability Coordinator is to assist the Director, Risk & Sustainability, and the wider Sustainability Team in driving forward Norgine’s Sustainability agenda, to function as an facilitator within the Sustainability Team, including supporting and enabling ESG activities and requirements in collaboration with the business.
The Sustainability Co-Ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the collection and verification of ESG data is of professional quality in terms of accuracy and timeliness, as well as developing systems to foster trust in Norgine’s sustainability data.
The Sustainability Co-Ordinator will also contribute by identifying opportunities to improve Norgine’s Sustainability performance including in the areas of carbon, energy, waste, travel, procurement, water, refurbishment and construction, and biodiversity, as well as social elements such as EDI initiatives. The Sustainability Co-Ordinator will monitor the sustainability impact of projects that are put in place.
This will be a permanent role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Contribute to developing, maintaining, and promoting Norgine’s sustainability policy, strategies and other plans or policies relating to sustainability.
2. Assist with maintaining external accreditations by reviewing documents and undertaking internal audits.
3. Lead on developing and maintaining a robust data collection, monitoring and reporting system for all sustainability initiatives and requirements.
4. Participate in meetings relevant to sustainability.
5. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to develop and implement sustainability engagement activities for key stakeholders.
6. Gathering, checking, and presenting data for annual and ad-hoc reporting, including GHG emissions.
7. Managing third parties and internal stakeholders in preparation for audits and external assurance (including CSRD and EU Taxonomy data collection and verification).
8. Work with other departments to measure the delivery of the “S” arm of our ESG strategy: wellbeing, social mobility, citizenship and equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) experts and Norgine business functions to ensure quality data and tracking across these areas.
9. Work as part of a team developing our ESG disclosures.
10. Preparing management and board reports and insights as appropriate
11. Work with Norgine functional areas to establish rigorous processes and governance around our data, as well as provide training on sustainability and related initiatives.
• Educated to ‘A’ level standard minimum
• A passion for sustainable and responsible business
• An understanding of the ESG regulatory and reporting landscape
• Experience developing materials and presentations for senior leaders
• The ability to work with complex data and produce useful insights
• Experience using ESG data platforms and a range of data tools to create and manage internal KPI dashboards
• The ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to make changes in line with and assist with execution of our ESG strategy
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
• Sound knowledge of current and emerging sustainability related legislation
• Knowledge of EU dossiers, in particular EU Taxonomy, is a plus
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Robust style, self-confident and influential
• Proactive able to work under pressure
• Able to problem solve
• Ability to handle confidential information and to act with discretion
• Good collaborator and strong interpersonal skills
• IT competent in Microsoft office
• Organisational and time management skills
