Job Summary:
The Supply Technician will provide comprehensive supply and logistics support for the Submarine Learning Center (SLC), focusing on the transition to and maintenance of the Navy ERP system. This role includes supporting all aspects of the supply chain, such as inventory control, requisition processing, and ERP integration, to ensure effective and efficient SLC operations.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- ERP Support: Provide daily support for the Navy ERP system, including processing Open Purchase Requests (OPRs), MILSTRIP actions, and Goods Receipts.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment, materials, and supplies using ERP functionalities. Conduct routine inventories and audits to ensure accountability and readiness.
- Requisition and Procurement Processing: Process supply requisitions, purchase orders, and other related actions within the ERP platform, adhering to Navy procedures and supporting multi-year purchasing strategies.
- Stock Control and Asset Management: Monitor stock levels, manage fixed assets, coordinate with procurement to replenish supplies, and track contract management to optimize supply chain workflows.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate supply records, including data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting, to ensure audit compliance and facilitate management decision-making.
- Data Management and Reporting: Provide real-time information updates, prepare supply chain reports, and customize data exports from ERP for analysis, ensuring adherence to financial reporting and budgeting standards.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance supply processes by refining ERP workflows related to purchasing, budget execution, and cash management.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in a Navy or DoD environment, with demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Navy ERP).
- Proficient in Navy ERP T-codes for financials, labor projections, payroll, OPRs, and MILSTRIP actions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to facilitate training and communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Must possess or be eligible for a Secret security clearance.
- Familiarity with Navy supply chain and procurement processes, including vendor and contract management.
- Experience working with structured workflows in ERP systems for budgeting, purchasing, and financial reporting.
- Ability to identify process improvements and integrate them into ERP functionalities to enhance efficiency.
