The Toyota Woven City is aiming at having a fully connected ecosystem powered by low carbon free energy ("CFE") including renewable power as well as hydrogen to be built at the base of Mt. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for those who will develop, launch and ever-evolve the power and energy services that are safe, secure, flexible and convenient for people living, working or visiting in Woven City. Energy team plays critical roles in providing next-level city infrastructure and enabling enhanced user experiences of other services in Woven City. You'll be responsible for building strategically significant experiences and creating solutions that solve real-life problems.
Assistant Manager of Supply & Demand Operation, Regional Power Supply Operation reports to Regional Power Supply Operation Manager of Energy Operation Planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for planning and executing the stable power supply within Woven CIty under the Electricity Business Act ("EBA").
- Planning and execution of supply and demand management according to electricity price trends and future institutional trends
- Manage the day-to-day power operation activities that will provide the related services to supply electricity to meet the demand inside and outside the Woven City as the regional electric power supplier.
- Develop the wide variety of supply and service menus to provide the clean and comfortable user experiences to those in the Woven City.
- Establish the administration system to respond to the regulatory requirements under EBA and others as required.
- Launch the risk-management system to monitor, for instance, the status of the supply and demand balance related to the electricity usage in the Woven City for its efficient energy management.
- Collaborate with the internal team members and external entities in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Manage budgets, project schedules, financial models, and associated contracts

- 電力需給バランスをモニター出来るリスクマネジメント管理機能を構築、効率的なエネルギーマネジメントを行う
- エネルギー関連ビジネスの実施や管理を適切に遂行するべく、社�外の関係�との緊密に連携をとる
- 予算、プロジェクトスケジュール、ファイナンスモデル、関連契約書の管理
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years or more of practical experience (power supply and demand management (in-house demand forecasting, power generation planning, power trading experience at JEPX, plan submission to the OCCTO)), power trading experience, imbalance management experience experience)
- Experience in data verification and operation policy formulation based on power supply-demand forecasts, power price forecasts, and power generation forecasts.
- Knowledge of EMS software usage.
- Experience of the energy supply and demand optimization program for its energy management operations to reduce energy demand/supply imbalances.
- Knowledge of Japanese electricity markets and regulations including energy services business such as ancillary services / capacity market.
- Daily level English and business level Japanese proficiency.
- 3年以上の実務経験(電力需給運用(自社需要予測、発電計画の立案、JEPXでの電力取引経験、電力広域的運営推進機関への計画提出)の経験、電力取引の経験、インバランス管理の経験)
- 電力需給予測、電力価格予測、発電量予測に基づくデータ検証と運用方針策定経験
- EMSソフトウエア使用に関する知識
- エネルギー需給不均衡低減のための需給最適化運用の経験
- 日本の電力市場・制度に関する知識(含、アンシラリー サービス・容量市場などのエネルギーサービスビジネス)
- 日常レベルの英語およびビジネスレベルの日本語能力
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or another advanced degree preferred, if any.
- Experience of the required document filing for licensing etc in connection with Electricity Business Act and other related regulations.
- Experience in customer services management.
- US/Europe experience and knowledge on the power market.
- Business level English proficiency.
