The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) operates the NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) All Hazard Network to provide continuous transmissions of recorded and live weather and appropriate hazard warning information to the public. A NWR system consists of an audio control console located in a Government Weather Service Office, a transmitter system, including antenna and transmission line, located at a remote site (often collocated with and hosted by a commercial or educational TV/radio transmitter and tower) and a communication link (telephone line, microwave link, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) link, Internet Protocol (IP) digital link, or a combination of these) between the two locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Shipping (parcel and freight, CONUS/OCONUS)
  • Receiving (unpacking, ticketing)
  • Inventory management (cycle counts, part number creation, moving inventory)
  • Purchasing (creating purchase orders, ecommerce, calibration schedules)
  • Database entry and querying (Azure SQL Database, Microsoft Access, PowerApps)
  • Answering phones, rerouting calls, taking orders
  • Warehouse duties (organization, cleaning, clearing docks)
  • Filing paperwork
  • Liaison with Accounts Payable
  • Supporting technicians with their needs (ordering parts, picking parts, refilling inventory bins)
  • Working with customers and vendors to ensure strategic partnerships

Qualifications:

 

· 5 years supply chain experience

· Degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows environment

· Good customer service skills

· Excellent problem solving skills

· Knowledgeable in the use of basic hand tools

· Basic math skills

· Team player

· Able to lift up to 100 pounds
