POSITION SUMMARY
Plans, directs and implements the interface design, development and deployment of new supply chain services technology interfaces and upgrades. Responsible for overall delivery of technology applications to customers (QSight, Kanban, QPAR/PANDAC, Preferred Access, Implant Purchase Management (IPM), BOM etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Understands and implements common interface standards, system-specific guidelines, and development methodologies based on best practices.
- Assesses customer IT-related needs and recommends solutions for defining and controlling data flow. Streamlines information needed to facilitate the interoperation of Owens & Minor and customer systems.
- Spearheads strategic partnerships with electronic healthcare technology applications (Epic Optime, Radiant, Cupid, Lawson, GE MacLab, Meditech, Cerner Millennium/Powerscribe/Radnet, PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle, McKesson PMM/HEMM, Philips Xper, etc.), and optimizes design of system integrations.
- Serves as Product Owner for integration program redesigns. Provides strategic and tactical direction on infrastructure/systems architecture, business applications development/deployment, technology platform conceptualization/ planning/evaluation/deployment in the healthcare environment.
- Participates in ceremonies (grooming backlogs, planning, etc.) and works with external stakeholders on communication where needed.
- Provides robust and consistent communication between customers and implementation Project Managers. Creates interface architecture diagrams. Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve their efficiency.
- Provides guidance to work of Integration Analysts, and Supervises the Interface Development Team’s development/testing tasks and workflow training.
- Oversees end-to-end testing of interface architecture and data definitions.
- Spearheads the design, development, and release of new technology enhancements and improved technology team workflows. Implements standards using broadly accepted and/or industry standard computing technologies (HL7).
- Oversees the initiation of network communications between Owens & Minor and customer Security/Systems Administrators.
- Responds to customer requests to troubleshoot interface technology issues after go-live.
- Oversees the ancillary vendors who manages integration router delivery.
- Responsible for overall delivery for multiple technology applications (QSight, Kanban, IPM, BOM, PANDAC, Preferred Access, Surgitrack, etc.).
- Develops interface-specific documentation that publicizes technical requirements between technology teams.
- Performs functional interface testing for all developed interfaces according to customer established success criterion.
- Builds customer relationships and contacts. Routinely coordinates efforts with customer interface, implementation, and other vendor system teammates.
- Serves as a technical expert to customers, partnering with Sales/Implementation teams to provide robust technical systems capability descriptions.
- Maintains understanding of interfacing best practices and provides exhaustive description of system capabilities in meetings and presentations.
- Facilitates networking discussions (VPN tunnel creation, integration router deployment, Active Directory authentication, etc.).
- Manages groups of interfacing analysts or a critical functional area as needed. Develops resource requirements and communicates resource issues.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7 or more years of relevant experience managing technology integration/application deliveries, preferably in the Healthcare/Logistics industries
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exhibits professional demeanor.
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare logistics and technology needs in a healthcare environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills in Excel, Access or equivalent.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work various shifts on occasion.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
