Job Summary:
As the Supply Chain Product Quality Associate, you will play a key role in our diversification and strategy efforts at Ruggable. You will serve as both a decision-maker and an innovative thinker for the Supply Chain team. More specifically, you will support counter-sourcing for several of our best-selling products and act as an integral member of the supply chain continuity team. You will be responsible for evaluating samples, analyzing cost, and providing feedback to vendors to expand and improve our global supplier base.
What You’ll Do:
- Build strong relationships with Ruggable factories, vendors, and cross-functional teams to help foster an environment of partnership and trust
- Maintain consistent communication with new / potential vendors to manage expectations on quality, testing, standards and ensure quick testing turnaround
- Test incoming samples against product specifications and current samples and provide clear and concise feedback to suppliers in order to achieve approved final quality
- Responsible to ensure that the customer experience is agnostic to whom or where the rug was made
- Organize and prioritize technical packages including version control of all specifications, cost breakdowns, and sample tracking as aligned with the Supply Chain processes
- Ensure that all seasonal calendar deadlines are met, issues are raised, and the team is updated in a timely manner
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 2-5 years in Textile Sourcing and/or Product Development experience with a globally distributed supplier base
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
- Specific knowledge of textile and/or apparel (textile, trim, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chain
- Highly engaged and qualified supplier base contacts
Compensation:
- $65,000 - $85,000 per year base salary
- Annual bonus that varies based on level of role
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K plan
