The Supply Chain Planning Manager at MERIT will partner closely with internal operations members and external contract manufacturers, component suppliers, and warehouse partners to help maintain inventory controls, communicate expectations on timing for goods ordered, and establish reporting to help give the company insight on inventory flow, on-time deliveries, and issues within the supply chain. This person should be extremely detail oriented, analytical, and able to work with data and spreadsheets seamlessly. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Planning.
Responsibilities:
- Publish weekly and monthly out of stock, discontinued, and excess inventory reporting
- Maintain a 12-month rolling item level forecast for all products across all current and future selling channels
- Partner with Planning Director to gain an understanding of the selling dynamics behind every channel and account
- Measure and report on the demand forecast accuracy
- Perform a monthly review of the demand forecast compared to current inventory on hand and open purchase orders to determine any new purchase orders that should be placed to maintain targeted stock levels
- Provide inventory control of finished goods, components, and marketing collateral by auditing both internal and external inventories at the warehouse and CMs; Consistently update inventory counts in Netsuite and communicate any adjustments with the operations and finance teams
- Establish processes with all vendors for scrap reporting and write-off as necessary
- Establish reporting to account against scrap rates
- Help maintain vendor dashboards and scorecards for all CMs
- Maintain close communications with the rest of the Operations team to stay up to date on the expected delivery dates of all open purchase orders
- Consistently communicate and partner with internal operations and logistics team on all open purchase orders
- Generate and share POs with CMs and vendors using standard cost and lead times, optimizing the price and timing
- Conduct daily and weekly reviews of all open purchase orders and current status, and update timing of POs as needed
- Proactively communicate with the broader Operations team where POs are not on track to assess risk level
- Communicate future forecasts with vendors appropriately
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field of study
- Minimum of 3+ years of operations/ supply chain experience
- Demand/supply planning and forecasting experience
- Advanced Excel and mathematical skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and recommendations
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- A record of operating with good judgment and leveraging creative problem-solving skills
- An ability to work in fast-paced, data focused, collaborative environment
- Experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems
We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000 in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
