Meet the team:

The Manager of Supply Chain Operations, Japan leads all aspects of Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Planning, Logistics and Distribution. The ideal candidate will drive the strategic vision and planning processes for support got to market model, Logistics, Warehousing, Integrated planning, and Inventory management, expanding and building strong relationships with Commercial teams, manufacturing, Finance, 3PLs (third party logistics) & Freight forwarding. The role will be supporting set up the Network and operations footprint, Implement ERP system and integration with our 3PL partners in Japan.
This role will lead cross-functional and solutions to support regional/country growth, improve patient satisfaction, and reduce costs by translating customer requirements and implement regional/country supply chain strategies, systems, and business practices.

This role reports into the APAC Supply Chain Head & have functional reporting line with Japan Commercial leader.
 

Where you come in:

  • Develop and maintain the regional Supply chain strategy, structure, and policies necessary to ensure optimum supply chain performance while achieving company goals and objectives
  • Lead & set up the Operations & Network design and strongly partnership with Customer service teams to ensure strong customer experience.
  • Develop and run end-to-end product supply chain capabilities and scale with clear focus on cost to serve and customer quality / reliability and other key company deliverables
  • Annual planning and budgeting
  • Country Sales and operations planning – Develop, lead and implement the regional S&OP aligned with Global S&OP.
  • Implement systems tools needed to implement planning/forecasting systems and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting.
  • Inventory & E&O management.
  • IT functional partner for Supply Chain & procurement – implement and manage supply chain technology and IT solutions.
  • Responsible for the developing, documenting, and executing a global comprehensive logistics and distribution strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability.
  • Ensure all quality, regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines.
  • Build, manage & develop a strong Supply chain team

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline required; Advanced Degree such as MBA, preferred; 8-10 years of Supply Chain experience of with 3-4 Years in managerial role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical education or training and experience a plus
  • Medical device industry experience a plus
