POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Supply Chain Analyst - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of products within a company. This position involves working closely with various teams such as product development, engineering, marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure seamless coordination and efficient management of products from ideation to end-of-life.

 

This position involves working remotely and hybrid on demand during US business hours from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am (IST).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date product data in the PLM system, including specifications, configurations, and revisions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for streamlining processes within the product lifecycle, from concept to retirement, to improve efficiency and reduce time to market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and alignment throughout the product lifecycle, including product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing, and sales.
  • Lifecycle Planning: Develop and maintain product lifecycle plans, including milestone timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to product designs, specifications, and configurations, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and impact assessment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards throughout their lifecycle by coordinating quality testing, inspections, and audits.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product lifecycle management, such as time to market, product cost, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to product development and lifecycle management, such as safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to users of the PLM system, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective utilization of the system and adherence to best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate PLM processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

This position involves working remotely during US business hours from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am (IST).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

Technical skills needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, related field and/or related experience
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years experience in product life management 
  • Understanding of Product lifecycle management fundamentals & tools such as SAP, Agile gPLM, iValua, ProcureAnt or material demand management services, dashboards, o9, etc.
  • Effective management of workflows & client requests through ticketing systems (ex. Buganizer/Google Unified Ticketing System (GUTS))
  • Familiar with network product design processes and change management of product & BOM data within PLM systems.
  • Intermediate Excel skills / Googlesheet (vlookup, pivot tables, charts, etc) & utilize other Google applications such as Slides & Docs with quality presentation.

Project Management:

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies for managing cross functional teams
  • Timeline and milestone management
  • Risk Management with a proven background of working to meet tight deadlines.

Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership:

  • Effective cross functional collaboration & the ability to work with stakeholders from technical, operations and planning teams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and document process end to end at a high level.
  • Great attention to detail in understanding context of business requirements and able to take insightful meeting notes.
  • Individual skills: goal-oriented, coachable, critical thinker, and responsible.
  • Team skills: willing to learn, effective team player, and share knowledge & best practices with the team.

Problem solving and analytical skills:

  • Root cause analysis, identify root causes and have the ability to communicate where needed implement corrective action to avoid re-occurrence
  • Ability to recognize patterns and/or trends in assigned workflows backed with data and historical analysis where needed.
  • Knowledge of how PLM workflow impacts the supply chain across multiple pillars.
