What you will do:
In this role you will provide quality leadership to US organization on Advance Quality Planning, promoting, driving and guide organization to effective project ideation, development and launches.
Provide and Promote PPAP guidelines, supporting and collaborating with plants and cross functional teams to facilitate standardization of PPAP execution.
How you will do it:
- Create a center of expertise on Advanced Quality Planning and PPAP and provide guidance, leadership and best practices towards New Production Introduction and Launches.
- Deploys Industry and customer-specific Advanced Quality Planning standards within the organization.
- Review, challenge and simplify existing, develop, and apply quality driven test systems and procedures to assure products meet intended use and customer expectations.
- Provide technical and quality expertise to support Key Programs focus on risk mitigation (PFMEA, Control Plan and Inspection Standards)
- Trains and mentor other team members in the development of APQP procedures and processes.
- Apply Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) into program management methodology for effective product / process releases.
- Partner and collaborate with appropriate leaders to support successful project completion. Support internal / external change management process requirements needed for effective launches
- Ensure “lessons learned” are documented to improve future launches and minimize risk
- Conduct all work activities following company safety policies and procedures.
- Lead growth and development of plant quality team members by using tools provided
Qualifications
Required:
- BS Degree in engineering related field
- Minimum 6 years Quality experience in the Automotive industry
- Specific education and training in Quality disciplines (IATF 16949, VDA, Six Sigma, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA and SPC)
- Advance quality planning including familiarity with the AIAG advanced Quality Planning
- Knowledgeable of Automotive OEM CSRs
- Knowledge of automotive problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.…) required
- Strong self-motivation and communication skills
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to think outside the box and suggest/implement continuous improvement ideas
- Position is in an office/plant/lab environment.
- Willing and able to travel in the U.S. up to 40%
- Living in Holland, MI or Milwaukee, WI
