We transport cargo every day to over >100 stations across Asia on behalf of our customers, and coordinate with many Cargo Terminal Operators (CTOs). We rely heavily on CTOs and ground handlers to ensure we can maximize our ability to sell and transport cargo. The efficiency of cargo movements relies heavily on strong guidance from our Supervisors in the Ground Operations team. Supervisors closely monitor and plan the movement of cargo to ensure the right loads are transported, at the right time, unto the right aircrafts.
We are looking for proactive, energetic and quick-thinking Supervisors who can guide and lead our CTO and ground handler counterparts. As a Supervisor, you will be working with a team of 8-10 people – they will be your lifeline and your family when all the cargo movement takes place. You will be assigned across locations in Cargo Haus International Warehouse, Pasay City Metro Manila or any other warehouses. As we are a 24:7 operations, this role will be on a full-time shift basis and you will be reporting daily to the Team Lead of Air Operations.
You will fit perfectly in this role if you are a strong team player, is a natural leader and is able to exercise those skills in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Throughout your role, communication in English will be critical and you can expect to use Microsoft Office regularly.
SALARY RANGE: PHP 18,000 - PHP 23,000
A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Be the main liaison and contact point for loading, unloading, securing, and staging information/instructions.
- Direct CTOs and ground handlers on loading, unloading, securing, and staging times, arrangements and aircrafts.
- Check that all loading, unloading, securing and staging activities are as per the master bookings list.
- Distribute cargo in such a manner that space use is maximized, make judgment-calls where needed.
- Be familiar and comply with Teleport cargo handling practices, safety and special handling protocols.
- Produce reports and conduct data entry where necessary.
- Can speak and write English to an intermediate degree
- Displays confidence in public settings, and in front of an audience
- Is a fast thinker – able to solve problems on-the-go and adapt quickly
- A team player
- Displays high attention to detail
- Is calm, especially under pressure
- In good physical health
- At least an undergraduate degree, any discipline
- 0-3 years in logistics (preferably air cargo), warehousing or manufacturing
- Possess a valid driving license (D license)
