Job Description:

Summary
This position will be responsible for various Accounting functions including accruals, account reconciliations, monthly internal reporting, monthly closing process, variance analysis, and other special projects requested by management, related to the Accounting of Vehicles. The position will participate and contribute to the development and recommendation of solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation of current procedures and processes.
Essential Functions

  • Oversees the day to day activities of their assigned business functions to ensure effective, efficient, timely, and reliable team tasks and deliverables. Coaches and counsels employees on performance, sets performance standards, recommends pay actions, and responsible for other personnel actions.

  • Monthly and quarterly closing procedures.

  • Responsible for the accounting of vehicles including reconciliations and journal entries.

  • Assists upper management with special projects and analysis related to the accounting of vehicles, rebates, and their regulatory compliance as needed. Leads process improvement initiatives and develops and recommends solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation of current procedures and processes.

  • Maintains Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assist with quarterly audit for various areas.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify appropriate Sarbanes-Oxley controls when reviewing existing processes or implementing a new procedure, reporting change, or system change.

  • Make appropriate Accounting decisions when working on projects, system enhancements, and analytics

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • Master's degree preferred Master's degree in a related field (i.e. Business, Accounting, Finance) preferred.

  • Five (5) years or more A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general accounting functions. required

  • Supervisory experience preferred. preferred

  • Experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley controls. required

  • Experience working with Information Technology and System Enhancements. required

  • Basic Accounting principles intermediate required

  • Account Reconciliations intermediate required

  • US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley controls intermediate required

  • Microsoft Office (Excel skills) intermediate required

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable intermediate required

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
