We are looking for a Summer Trainee to join our Science team in the Oulu office. Our Science team is passionate about building science-driven features that rely on advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques to provide users with new insights into their health. We are dedicated to ensuring that the physiologic information Oura provides is both accurate and actionable. The ideal candidate will ensure the excellence of our data science products.
Our summer trainee period is planned to be 3-4 months, timing can be agreed between 05/2025- 09/2025. This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 office days per week.
We would love to have you in our team if You have
- Studies from a STEM-related field (e.g. engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics)
- Python skills
- Physiological understanding
- Experience with signal processing and/or Machine learning
- Good communication skills (in English)
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situation
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team environment
- Nice to have: basic understanding from databases and AWS
