Summer Trainee, Engineering

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. We are now looking for summer trainees to work with our engineering teams in Oulu. This summer traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, working alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. Our summer trainee period is planned to be 3-4 months, timing can be agreed between 05/2025- 09/2025.

For 4-5 trainees to following areas:

• Electronics
• Mechanics
• Mechanics and electronics testing
• SW Development (Python)
• Production development

Examples What You could do during your traineeship:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to support the development and testing of our products.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and participate in the code review process to enhance the quality of our deliverables.
• Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and help ensure successful implementation.
• Participate in documentation efforts to facilitate knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electornics, Mechanics etc)
• A passion for technology and a desire to learn about engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

• There will be 2 interviews
• Interview with Recruiter (30 min): focus on getting to know you and tell more about Oura’s company culture and values
• Interview with the hiring manager: focus on the role and your skills
