About the Role

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. You will be supporting the web tools that manage testing related functions for all global Environmental and EMC Validation Teams. You will be exposed to new feature development, automation, and system maintenance.

What You Will Do

  • Work within a team to develop web-based tools to better manage day-to-day activities for hardware validation

  • Independently write software to contribute to overall project development

  • Interact with other regions (China, Germany, Hungary, Mexico) to support work-request tickets

  • Apply debugging techniques to diagnose issues

  • Support planning sessions for future feature development

  • Develop and present training documentation upon feature complete

What You Need

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution having completed your sophomore year or later

  • Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

  • Taken courses in Electrical/Computer Engineering

  • Desired experience in Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, JavaScript

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives

  • Work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

What is Nice to Have

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for infotainment products and the automotive industry

  • Self-starter and motivated to learn

  • Experience in C++/C#/Java or other embedded software development.

  • Experience with Linux based systems and software

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office/hybrid schedule in Novi, Michigan.

  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00  
Master: $32.00 
Doct: $38.00

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
