Summer Intern - SW Dev Linux Platform

Job Description SummaryAs a Summer Intern – SW Dev Linux Platform, you will implement and test SW components used in the Linux based patient monitor environment as part of the scrum team. You will also aid in the security testing of the monitors. There are several tasks which you can choose from depending on your skillset. You will learn intimate details of the Linux system in guidance of our experienced software team.

Job Description Responsibilities  

Join a Scrum team that develops the Linux platform for GE HealthCare patient monitor products. The role will provide you with a vantage point to the development of medical devices.

• Implement and document software components under the guidance of the development team

• Design new test cases, execute manual test cases, and perform exploratory testing for the platform components

Qualifications and experience

• On-going studies in Computer Science, SW Engineering, or related field

• Linux command line scripting skills

• Experience in C

• Basic understanding of the Linux operating system

• Command of the English language as the team you will be joining uses it as the working language

Desirable skills

• Work experience and/or study activities in relevant area

• Curiosity together with systematic and thorough approach to problem solving

• Experience in Python

• Test automation or CI/CD experience
