As a Microsoft Technologies Specialist Intern, you will join the Operations Center of Learning and Development (OCLD) team to support projects that help the team manage their work streams more efficiently. This team plays an impactful role in the success of operations and helps drive quality, and your work will have a direct impact on our customers! Join us for the summer on our mission of improving our customers’ lives by making healthcare work better.

Premera’s Summer Internship Program is June 16th – August 15th, 2025. To be eligible for the program, you must currently be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate degree program or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months). This is a hybrid internship program on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, WA.

Internship Projects and Goals:

  • Partner with the OCLD team to improve current systems and develop solutions to improve the teams’ day-to-day workflow.
  • Set up meeting invites, coordinate schedules, facilitate meetings, and take notes
  • Conduct research and interview subject matter experts to create “as is” and “to-be” process flows
  • Provide input on the development of appropriate training materials to support the needs of functional areas
  • Provide support to business units for tracking and measuring projects and objectives and key results

What You Will Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's degree program, or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months) (Required)
  • Proficient with MSFT suite tools including Power BI, SharePoint and Excel
  • A can-learn, can-do attitude, that works well in a collaborative and fast paced team.
  • Curiosity when it comes to understanding complex situations, problem solving, and solutioning.
  • Self-starter and ability to do independent work as well as collaborate well with others in a virtual environment.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Plus Salary Range:

$43,200.00 - $90,000.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
