Job Summary:
AEG Internship Program offers a real-world experience that allows college students to learn the business of sports and live entertainment. As a Data Engineer Intern for the Los Angeles Kings, you will have a unique opportunity to learn data engineering best practices and gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Data Manager, Data Team, and AEG Sports Business Ops team to handle data requests for AEG and AEG Sports.
- Support and monitor ETL processes and data pipelines to integrate new data sources into our systems.
- Assist in developing data models and optimizing data infrastructure for better performance.
- Monitor data quality, identify new data sources, and create data hygiene reports.
- Document data flows and maintain source control policies.
- Build relationships with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data meets business needs.
- Support data analysts and ML specialists, and document pipeline and dashboard setups.
- Ensure data protection, security, and compliance, especially with PII and sensitive data policies.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible for this internship you must be a current student pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in SQL and Python or C++
- Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable, with excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills
- Passion for sports, live entertainment, data and technology
- Strong interest in data engineering, database management, and data integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to learn more about the sports and entertainment industry
- The AEG Internship Program requires a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week during the spring.

Pay Scale: $19.00 – $21.00
