The role: Summer 2025 Internship (Corporate Development and Commercial)

Join our Corporate Development & Commercial Summer Intern Program at Genius, where you will play a key role in supporting our fast-growing, publicly listed company within the sports tech ecosystem.
Program Overview:
The Corporate Development & Commercial Summer Intern Program is a 10-week rotational internship designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience across two critical teams: Corporate Development and Commercial. You will work closely with senior leaders, engage in strategic projects, and gain exposure to a broad range of business operations in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Development Team:
- Participate in the strategic operations of a publicly listed company, including work with investment bankers, investors, sell-side analysts, lawyers, and senior company leadership.
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to help inform the company's go-to-market strategy and broader investment initiatives.
- Prepare detailed company overviews and reports related to relevant peers, customers, competitors, suppliers, and potential acquisition targets.
- Contribute to ongoing corporate development projects and strategic initiatives.
Commercial Team:
- Assist in the end-to-end sales process, supporting the development of a customer pipeline, identifying potential clients, and participating in Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Help manage customer relationships, ensuring clients receive timely and comprehensive support and information.
- Support the sales team in developing strategies for product and service offerings across various markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Intern Project:
- Complete a capstone intern project that will be presented to senior management at the end of the program. This project will have real implementation implications for the company, offering you a chance to make a tangible impact on our business.
Qualifications:
- Rising college junior (currently enrolled in a bachelor's program).
- Strong interest in corporate development, commercial strategy, sports or technology, with no previous experience required.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM tools or business intelligence platforms is a plus.
