Integrated Marketing Communications Intern, Shark Beauty 

Work Period: Mid May through Mid August (12 weeks total) 

Location: Onsite Needham, MA. This position has no relocation or housing assistance. 

Position Overview 

As part of the Integrated Marketing Communications Team, you will play a role in building, guiding, and tracking all Beauty Category marketing campaigns to drive brand visibility, engagement, and conversion. This will include partnering with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Content Strategy, Creative, Social, PR, Media, and Analytics to bring launch plans to life on a global scale. You will collaborate on creative briefs, track deliverables for media plans, input into presentations for internal teams and agency partners, and provide support for marketing events and activations. The right individual will have a collaborative working style with an enthusiasm for making connections with cross-functional co-workers, strong organizational skills, and a passion for beauty marketing.

Responsibilities 

  • Input into strategic briefs to channel specialists and agencies on PR, Social, Retail, and Media planning and execution to deliver full-funnel campaigns
  • Track creative content development and deliverables for alignment to media plans and campaign timelines
  • Provide on-the-ground support for marketing activation plans, events, gifting initiatives, and key launch moments
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and recommend adjustments to strategies as needed to achieve goals
  • Serve as a central point of connection for upcoming marketing launches and campaigns, being a resource to stakeholders and a facilitator of cross-functional collaboration

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with colleagues across different teams and disciplines
  • Project management skills with the ability to track details, tasks, and actions across multiple workstreams at once
  • Experience and understanding of full-funnel marketing strategy, planning, and execution
  • Comfort mining and analyzing data and drawing conclusions
  • Solid understanding of the social media landscape
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get it done together
  • Comfort working in a fast paced and iterative environment

Qualifications 

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience at a consumer brand or agency focused in social, media, PR, or marketing creative
  • Exposure to consumer-brand strategic problem solving, through coursework or work experience
  • Passion for the Beauty industry preferred
